Laser Printer cartridge. What does it mean when spec says that it prints 2500 pages @5% coverage. I know what

2500 pages mean ,, but what does @ 5% coverage meanLaser Printer cartridge. What does it mean when spec says that it prints 2500 pages @5% coverage. I know what
just what it says if you print all full pages then the result would be 125 pages 2500 / 20= 125 but he average output is around 1000 pagesLaser Printer cartridge. What does it mean when spec says that it prints 2500 pages @5% coverage. I know what
It means @ 5% coverage that means just text your page yeild will be 2500 before the cartridge is spent.
5% refers to the amount of the page that is covered with the ink specified, this is usually used as an approximation of a full page of text on draft mode (this is very generous so it may mean the text would be double spaced) It is hard to imagine exactly what specifications are used, but 5% is the standard used by all companies, so the listed page yields are readily comparable from one company to the other. so 5% coverage is describing a full page of text
